Aging Skin Treating Problem Areas!

Posted for Anti Aging On October 31, 2009

Hi,

Aging skin comes with a host of problems. Here are some effective solutions for common problem areas:

Wrinkles & Fine Lines
Use anti wrinkle formulations or creams that contain powerful ingredients that serve to iron out the wrinkles and fine lines. Innovase is one such ingredient that helps fill the wrinkles and fine lines and give you a flawless complexion. The iS Clinical Youth Complex is a unique anti-wrinkle formulation that provides immediate wrinkle reduction and long term improvement in the overall quality of the skin with collagen and elastin. Other powerful anti aging ingredients include AHAs and antioxidants.

Thinning Lips
With age, your lips begin to thin. However, you can get a temporary plumping effect by using lip care plumpers. They contain irritants like cinnamon that cause the blood to rush to the lips and have a plump effect. You can also consider using something like Kinerase Lip Treatment. It contains jojoba seed oils and grape seed oils which help to moisturize and soothe dry irritated lips that have been damaged by harsh weather. Kinetin, an active ingredient in this product, helps to firm the lip area and soften the wrinkles.

Sagging Eye Contours

A good eye-cream is all you need to regain the youthful appearance of your eye contours. Try the Obagi ELASTIderm Day Eye Gel. It contains a unique bi-mineral complex to cross-link elastin fibers and boost collagen production to regain a youthful appearance to your eye contours.

Drying Skin

Apart from a regular anti-aging moisturizer, you also need a product that serves to enhance the appearance of the skin. iS Clinical Super Serum Advance is an amazing combination of ingredients that provide a dramatic improvement to aging skin and an unsurpassed combination of antioxidants to help protect the skin from additional damage from environmental stressors. Super Serum is also effective in reducing acne scars and in acting as a skin lightener to improve the skins evenness and luminosity.

Take Care of your skin!

Toners Do You Really Need To Use Them?

Posted for Skin Cleansers & Toners On October 16, 2009

Hi,

Women have always been skeptical about the use of toners. While some still take time out to include it in their skin care regimen, there are others who choose to skip its use altogether. This is however a serious mistake

Toning is an integral part of a skin care regimen that follows the cleansing routine and prepares the skin for the moisturization process. Here are some of the important functions of toning.

It removes the residual impurities from the skin pores that are left behind after the cleansing routine and then closes them. After cleansing, skin pores tend to open up and enlarge in size. As a result, moisture evaporates easily and makes the skin dry and dehydrated. Toners in turn close the opened skin pores and prevent the skin from becoming overly dry.

Because toners close the skin pores, dirt and debris from the environment do not settle within them and this helps to prevent skin damage. Moreover, good toners also include antiseptic properties and provide moisture and nutrients to the skin, thus preparing the skin for subsequent moisturization.

There are certain skin care products in the market that claim to have cleansing-toning-moisturizing properties all in one. However, it’s nothing more than a marketing gimmick. This is because cleansers are supposed to open the skin pores to remove the debris while toners are supposed to close the open pores. Then how can a single product perform both the functions simultaneously?

Follow an intelligent skin care routine consisting of all the 3 steps – Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing! Also, don\’t forget to exfoliate twice a week.

Women with dry skin should avoid using astringents and alcohol based toners. They should rather stick to mild toners that contain soothing ingredients like witch hazel. Obagi Nu Derm Toner is a great product made up of a unique combination of natural ingredients and herbs that tones the skin and restores its normal pH balance. It contains a natural astringent called \’alum\’ that adjusts the skin\’s pH levels.
